Apprentice NerfSniper1234’s Speech
Here, upon a pedestal of the past, we stand upon a tower where many before us have delivered Synchronisations, inspirational speeches and similar addresses.
I chose this place for my Synchronisation because it is a place where many have gathered during uncertain times. It is also where the new era of the Brotherhood took shape, and where another generation of Assassins once called home.
I quote our former Mentor, ADVENTlST:
“Together, we are stronger.”
Over the past several years, our Brotherhood has grown from the legends of Citramaria and from those who chose to stand apart from the crowd.
The Brotherhood is made up of us. We are what gives it form. Without us, there is no Brotherhood.
Now more than ever, the Brotherhood must come together in order to strengthen its activity and show support for one another. Across the course of its history, there have been many conflicts. Many people have departed and chosen different paths. Yet despite all of this, we stand here together today.
Our tenets, ironies and the Maxim provide guiding ideas for us to follow and adapt to. Yet they are not chains. They leave room for independence, free thought and liberty.
“Never compromise the Brotherhood” is often understood only in terms of betraying Assassins or revealing the Brotherhood’s secrets. Yet togetherness is also a vital part of that tenet.
Togetherness is what binds us. It is the foundation of our cause.
Our third tenet is arguably among the most important, because it keeps us mindful of our actions while preserving a degree of order within the Brotherhood, all while still allowing for liberty and free thought among our fellow Assassins.
Too often, people stand idly by while their brothers and sisters fight for the Brotherhood.
Yet together we can create stronger solutions to the problems we face.
Together we can conquer any foe.
Together we are the Brotherhood.
