Archive Scroll I of IV
Raykes · Submitted by Chronicler, kingllaxi
In a few short years, I will reach a new milestone since I first began my travels in Citramaria.
I look back on my memories fondly, frequently travelling to archives, gathering old newspapers, or viewing pictures to reminisce. My mind grows foggy in some areas, while others are still as clear as the day they occurred. I am proud of my achievements and the places I have journeyed, though I am saddened by the things I might have missed while I was busy.
I regret not experiencing some great episodes that occurred in the forts of this land. Many a time I hear tales and stories of allies feeling nostalgic for a better time or place I was never able to visit. On a brighter note, I should cherish the memories I have made, as well as the ones I will make, instead of yearning for those I missed.
I have found myself looking at the works of Raykes often. His writings are detailed and numerous, as he has traveled this country even more than I. Hell, these texts reflect his acquaintance with many different groups around the outer world. You should read some if you have the chance.
A sense of great respect and admiration is all I feel when I read his journals. Countless papers are spread across my desk, not even a tenth of what he has produced. I must do research and toil away to find more. My eyes run over the words swiftly, flipping through the pages and each new chapter of his travels. The memories of this forgotten era are expressed clearly through his collection of meetings and happenings, almost putting me back into that time, to experience it for myself.
Regardless of how it seems, I worship no man on Earth. Raykes is but an inspiration for this documenting habit I have. I thought I should contribute a letter to honor his work. And when I look up from the pages I write, I only gaze into the future, only wanting to explore more of this world and what the Brotherhood has to offer.
